Carved soapstone 3 piece nativity set from Kenya with tallest piece measuring approximately 6" tall. Hand carved out of soapstone by the Kisii tribe in Kenya, this nativity is simplicity and elegance at its best. The artisans feel empowered through earning fair wages and can grown their earning potential through the additional marketing opportunities for their carvings outside of Kenya. The cooperative also designates 15% of their income to help orphans, widows, handicapped, elderly, and HIV/AIDS victims in the community. Because each piece is carved by hand from a unique piece of stone, each set will have a uniqueness in design and detail.
