Hand carved out of soapstone by the Kisii tribe in Kenya, this nativity is perfect as a gift for loved ones or for yourself. The artisans feel empowered through earning fair wages and can grown their earning potential through the additional marketing opportunities for their carvings outside of Kenya. The cooperative also designates 15% of their income to help orphans, widows, handicapped, elderly, and HIV/AIDS victims in the community. Because each piece is carved by hand from a unique piece of stone, each set will have a uniqueness in design and detail.
