Product Description
The term millefiori comes from the Italian for a thousand flowers. Molten glass is stacked, then stretched to form long rods with intricate patterns. Once cooled, those rods are sliced, reheated and attached to a solid glass base, then molded for the finished look.
This cooperative started as a collaboration in 1996, with Chilean traditions and nature as inspiration. Using window glass and recycled bottles, the glass is cut to size, painted by hand, then fired in 1500 degree ovens.
