Product Description
This bracelet takes the simple bangle and adds a flair unlike anything you've seen before. Made from a repurposed piece of thick gardening wire, each one features a "crocheted" wire highlight. This touch of texture makes your bangle an accent that's both unusual and beautiful at the same time.
Zambia is a rugged country in southern Africa. Roughly 60% of the population lives in poverty to the degree that a full 40% of children are developmentally stunted. High HIV rates further stresses the country, with 1.5 million children orphaned as a result. The combination of poor healthcare, disease, and lack of food has resulted in a life expectancy of only 37.5 years. Inspired by the natural world, the women of Little Ndaba use their crochet skills to repurpose thick gardening wire and inner tubes into modern fashion giving them a much needed income.
