About the artisan:
Aryzoo wanted to be a dentist. Because schools are closed to older girls in Afghanistan, she was denied this dream. As life became dangerous, she left with her husband and children to live in Kyrgyzstan. She doesn't know the language, and her husband cannot support them with what he earns at the market. Aryzoo has begun making felted wool handicrafts in her home to provide her children with clothing.
