Omar Guerrero began working with ceramics in 1977 when he learned the trade. In 1984, he started to work independently, selling only within Chile, and maintained his business for 15 years. He began to look for other markets for his products and came to Beas y Tapia in 2002. In those early years, he counted on the support and help in the workshop of his wife, Cecilia Valle. This allowed them to not only work together, but raise their children together during their young years. The income helped support those very same children achieve their dreams. Their daughter became a political scientist and their son a sociologist.
