Product Description

No need to go to the museum when you have your very own art rendition dangling from your ears! Made in Guatemala, this incredibly fun line of earrings merges classic art  with a modern flare. Sure to be a hit with any art lover!

Guatemala is a beautiful country, but one plagued by poverty and political unrest. An estimated 46% are currently living under the poverty line. One of the main hurdles for the artisans is accessing a market in which to sell their handicrafts. That's where this cooperative comes in. Not only do the artisans now have an outlet for their handcrafted items, but funds are donated to several organizations in the area. "Pueblo a Pueblo," a community-based charity, funds many grass-root projects including child education and lunch programs as well as mother-infant care. “Hospitalito Atitlan” is the only hospital that cares for those living in the community where the beadwork artisans of the group live. "Puerta Abierta" is a free library that also offers reading classes.
