We've combined the spicy aroma of chai with the exfoliant of black pepper for a fabulous soap that offers both a new life for the makers and a delightful lathery bar for sink side. Made using all natural ingredients, it's a wonderful soap with an even better story to tell.
The path to becoming a sex worker in Bangladesh is more relatable than one would think. It starts with a vulnerability… a widow, an orphan, a rape victim, a mother with no food for her children. That vulnerability leads to desperation and before they know it, they see no way out except entering the sex trade. But after years of the abuse, victimization, trauma, and pain in the industry, they find themselves desperate for something no money can buy, dignity and respect. They can find both at Sacred Mark Enterprises, making handmade luxurious soaps out of 100% natural ingredients and colorants. They use mostly coconut and palm oil, adding a smidge of essential oils for a mild pleasant aroma. Not only are they paid for their work making both soap and recycled sari products, but they’re in a caring environment with handicraft training, and teaching about health and hygiene, mental health, human rights, peace and literacy,
