Kenyan artisans showcase naturally occurring gray soapstone in a serene sculpture of a rabbit. Each sculpture starts with a rough piece of stone that's chiseled down with a machete. It's then carved into the desired shape and polished to a smooth finish. A little touch of black dye is added for each eye, giving them a finishing touch. Each rabbit displays the natural grain and varied coloration of gray soapstone, which may include veins of brown, red or orange.
