Stone Trivet #5

  • Field Stone Trivet from New England Farmland
Current Stock:

Product Description

Long ago, glaciers pushed boulders from far-away mountains into the soil of America’s Northeast. This fieldstone became the folklore of poets like Robert Frost, but the labor of moving stones by hand pushed farmers westward. Support the rugged holdouts that remain farming today! Due to the nature of stone, grain lines and minor imperfections in the stone are normal, adding to the beauty and individuality of each piece. Measures approximately 4 x 5-3/4" x 3/8" thick.

Our Trivets are crafted from fieldstones that are hand gathered at rocky working farms. The stones are brought to the studio in Massachusetts where they are hand sawn with diamonds. Hand honed to bring forth beautiful colors and a smooth texture, they are intended to protect tabletops from hot and cold dishes. Each fieldstone’s farm provenance is forever labeled on the underside of every Trivet.

Use as a trivet, coaster, or under candles.
