Product Description

Long ago, glaciers pushed boulders from far-away mountains into the soil of America’s Northeast. This fieldstone became the folklore of poets like Robert Frost, but the labor of moving stones by hand pushed farmers westward. Support the rugged holdouts that remain farming today! Due to the nature of stone, grain lines and minor imperfections in the stone are normal, adding to the beauty and individuality of each piece. Measures approximately 7-1/4" x 9-1/2" x 3/8" thick with removable sturdy wire handle, wire brush, and rustic wooden block.

Cooking Slabs are crafted from fieldstones that we hand gather at rocky working farms. The stones are brought to the studio in Massachusetts where they are hand sawn with diamonds. Hand polishing makes them smooth and brings forth brilliant color. Lastly, they are finished with a food-safe stain-resistant seal

Hand wash with warm dish soap and water using the wire brush

Use as a cooking surface, warming stone, or serving platter.

Safe to use as a cooking surface on the grill or in the oven.

Enjoy cooking at the table by heating for 30 minutes in a 450 degree oven. Remove from heat using the removable metal handle and place on the wood block on your table. Place thin cuts of meat, fish, or veggies on the surface and watch it cook!

Safe (and recommended for) chilling in a fridge or freezer

Not designed for stovetop, microwave, or dishwasher
